Remarkable Stories of Adventures
Life is full of adventures – as the saying goes. Indeed, life often brings the unexpected, and is rich with experiences and colour.
On Sunday I met Rob Lilwall when he was at the Union Church to speak about his adventures. He has the most remarkable stories.

And also this video of his TEDx talk:
Rob published his first book on his 3-year cycling adventure, Cycling Home From Siberia, and had a National Geographic TV Series on it. In 2004, he started an adventure to cycle back to England from Siberia, and he traveled through many countries including war-torn Afghanistan, and a detour to Australia and Papua New Guinea. That amazing journey led him to a new career and his wife who he met in Hong Kong. Together they are now based here, and their work supports the children charity – Viva. Rob is also a motivational speaker inspiring many with his stories.
His adventures did not stop there – in the first half of 2012, Rob did a walking tour through China and Mongolia. His new book on this, Walking Home From Mongolia, will be launched a month from now.
I am looking forward to Rob’s book launch in Hong Kong on December 2, and to more exchange with him.
My own adventure in the comforts of Hong Kong is only plain, though I am happy I can say to Rob it is my “leap of faith” to see where this journey takes me.
